I Finally Did It!
The yarn bins are overflowing, the needles are officially smoking, and my podcast queue is completely exhausted. After months of plotting, dreaming, and knitting until my fingers cramped, I am absolutely thrilled to share that my Etsy shop, My Knitting Era, is officially open for business!
What started as a quiet, cozy quarantine hobby to keep my hands busy has completely evolved into a full-blown obsession. If you had told me a few years ago that I’d be spending every spare evening meticulously crafting a miniature universe of fiber art, I probably would have laughed. Yet, here we are! Every single item that goes into the shop is made entirely by hand—no machines, no shortcuts, just high-quality yarn, sharp needles, and a truly embarrassing amount of background audiobooks and deep-dive podcast episodes.
To celebrate the big launch, my very first official listing is live, and I am completely in love with them. Say hello to my bumblebee charms!
A Rainbow of Bees
I wanted my first listing to be something that brings instant, pocket-sized joy. These tiny bees are the perfect little companions to clip onto your keys, backpack, or project bag. Because everyone needs a little extra color in their life, I decided to knit them in a whole spectrum of options.
You can officially find them buzzing around the shop in:
- Classic Yellow: For the traditionalists who love a bright, cheery bumblebee.
- Pretty in Pink & Purple: Perfect for a soft, pastel, cottagecore vibe.
- Bold Red, Blue, & Green: Vibrant, eye-catching shades that stand out on any set of keys.
- The Rainbow Bee: A magical, multicolored stripe blend for a true pop of happiness.
Each one features a secure lobster clasp so they can join you on all your daily adventures without buzzing away.
Slow-Made with Love
Because everything here is slow-made, no two bees are exactly identical. Each one gets its own little personality as it comes together stitch by individual stitch. It takes time, patience, and a lot of love, but knowing these little creations are heading out into the world to bring someone a bit of handmade comfort makes every minute worth it.
Thank you so much to everyone who has encouraged me to take this leap. Whether you buy a bee, share the shop with a friend, or just read along here, your support means the absolute world to me.
Head over to My Knitting Era on Etsy to check out the first listing and find your perfect bee companion. I can’t wait to see where they fly off to!
